Comedians to Raise Funds in Memory of Murdered Brockport College Student

Yorkville, NY – Comedy Central NY, on November 1, is hosting a special benefit show featuring three female comedians to raise donations for the Alexandra Kogut Fund. Kogut, of New Hartford, was a freshman at SUNY Brockport found bludgeoned to death in her dorm room last month. The special Ladies Night fundraiser will feature Anna Phillips, of Syracuse, and Gotham Comedy Club’s “Ladies of Laughter” comedians, Maryanne Donnelly and Jen Remauro. Stand-up comic, Phil Farda, will host the show. Five dollars of every $15 ticket sold at the door will be donated to the Alexandra Kogut Fund. Proceeds from a 50/50 drawing will also be donated to the fund. Comedy Central NY regularly hosts charity benefit shows. The company boasts some the best live stand-up in Upstate New York. Farda and fellow stand-up comedian, Mike Bova, produce shows at Club Monarch on the first Thursday of each month.
